The Clarity Intensive · For newer businesses

Decide what you're building, and start it on the right foundations.

The Clarity Intensive is five weeks of 1:1 work for experienced professionals who are leaving, or have just left, a role to work independently. We choose your direction, shape your first offer and price, and leave you with a plan you'll follow.

What's in the way at the start,
and what we do about it

You have too many ideas and can't choose which to pursue first.

What's usually underneath

Every option looks viable on paper, and none has been tested against the life you want.

In the Intensive

We start with what you want from the business, and use that to choose one direction to build first. The others are parked for later.

You don't know what to charge or how to package your work.

What's usually underneath

You're pricing from your old salary or from guesswork, with no picture of what the business needs to earn.

In the Intensive

We work out what you need to bring in, design a first offer around its value to a client, and set a price you can say out loud.

Marketing feels inauthentic or overwhelming.

What's usually underneath

You're looking at everything other people do online and assuming you have to do all of it, in front of your old network.

In the Intensive

We choose one or two ways of finding clients that suit how you work, starting with the people who already know you.

You're nervous about spending money before you know it will work.

What's usually underneath

There's no evidence yet, so every expense feels like a bet.

In the Intensive

We test the numbers before you commit, so you know what "working" looks like and what the smallest first step is.

We won't do all of this in five weeks. We start with the one or two that will make the biggest difference right now.

What the work looks like in practice

What changes when your offer is built around value

Many of the people I work with left a senior role expecting the business to take shape once they started. A year in, they've had some clients, each wanting something different, and they still can't say what the business is for.

The first thing we usually work on is the offer. They tend to describe it as a list of what they'll do: days of consulting, a workshop, a report. We rebuild it from the client's side: who it's for, the outcome they most want, and what that outcome is worth to them.

An offer described that way is much easier to explain and to price, because the client can see what they're paying for.

How the Clarity Intensive works

1

We start with the full picture

Before we meet, you complete a detailed intake and share whatever is relevant: your website, offers, pricing. I review all of it, and at our kick-off session I bring my recommendations on which foundations need the work. We agree on where to focus.

2

We build in the right order

We meet weekly, with a clear agenda each time. Between sessions I build the frameworks your decisions need, and you can reach me when something comes up.

3

You leave with a clear path

You'll have one direction chosen, an offer and a price, and a plan for finding clients.

After the five weeks, most clients continue with one or two sessions a month for implementation support and ongoing strategy and coaching.

What you get in the Clarity Intensive

In your sessions

Detailed intake and document reviewBefore we meet, you complete an intake and share any relevant materials. I review everything beforehand so we hit the ground running.
Kick-off session (60 min)We review my recommendations from your intake, agree on where to focus our five weeks, and get straight into the work.
Four weekly coaching sessions (60 min each)Focused sessions with a clear agenda. Some sessions we work through the practical foundations of your business. Others go somewhere messier: the doubt, the decision you have been avoiding, the week that derailed everything. Both move you forward.

Between sessions

Frameworks built for your businessTools I create between sessions for the specific decision in front of you, plus guided exercises to help you reflect, prioritize, and act.
Between-session support (Monday to Friday)Voice note, text, and email access, for when you need to talk through a decision or have a thought you do not want to lose.
Emergency support sessions (20 min)When something urgent comes up, you do not have to sit with it alone.

What changed for three clients

From "I've always been an employee" to her first client

"I was a bit lost beforehand; I didn't know where to start. I wasn't sure I had the skill or capability, particularly as I'd always been an employee. I've reached out to tons of people in my network, and I'm now reaching out cold to people I do not know and feeling confident doing it."

Natalie, Communications Consultant

Natalie worked with me in a group program when she was starting out. She has since landed her first client.

"It's hard to describe what Laura does because it can sound floofy going in. But she has so many concrete things that she can offer; she distills somebody's idea with very specific questions and guides it to very actionable outcomes."

Rachel Melone, Einrahmerei Custom Framing

Rachel worked with me when she was starting her business, and came back two years later to grow it.

"Laura supported me in shifting my identity from freelancer to solopreneur and in getting strategic about my ideal client and offering. I would highly recommend Laura to early-stage solopreneurs who want to take their business to the next level."

How I work

Built around your life

The strategy we build is yours, shaped around your expertise, your life, and how you work. If you hate Instagram, we will not build your marketing around it. If you do not work school holidays, your business model will account for that.

My honest opinion, your decision

I will tell you what I think, including when a plan isn't grounded in your numbers or values. The decision always stays with you.

Specific to your business

You can get generic frameworks anywhere, including from ChatGPT and Claude. What I build is specific to your numbers, your clients, how you work, and the decision you're facing.

Neurodivergent-inclusive

There is no one set way to design a business, so we plan and structure yours around how your brain works, with techniques that keep you interested and motivated without burning you out. Part of the work is coaching too, because many people carry guilt about working differently and have spent years asking why they can't just fit in.

Questions

Is it too early for coaching?

No. The decisions you make early on (what to offer, what to charge, who it's for) are the ones that are hardest to undo later.

What if I don't know yet what the business should focus on?

That's a common starting point, including for people who already have a few clients. Choosing the direction is the first part of the work.

I've always been an employee. Can I really do this?

Most of my clients had been too. The expertise that made you good at your job is what clients will pay for. What's new is running a business around it, and that part can be learned.

I haven't left my job yet. Can I start?

Yes. Several of the foundations are easier to build before you leave, while you still have a salary.

Is five weeks enough?

It's enough to choose your direction, build your offer and price, and plan your next steps. It isn't enough to build the whole business, and I won't tell you it is. Most clients continue with monthly sessions while they put the plan into practice.

What if I'm not sure this is the right fit?

That's what the free Clarity Call is for. We'll talk through where you are and what you need most. If the Intensive isn't the right match, I'll tell you.
