👋 Hi, I’m Laura. I believe anyone can start a business, but you should love the business you build.

I help purpose-driven solopreneurs grow businesses that are sustainable, profitable, and deeply aligned with their values.

Before founding Purpose Built by Laura, I spent over 15 years leading nonprofit initiatives across gender, tech, and public health.

Including launching and scaling a multi-million-dollar USAID programme in Rwanda. I’ve advised boards, invested in startups, and consulted with mission-led organisations around the world.

In 2021, I made the leap to full-time coaching and built my own business from scratch. Today, I help founders find clarity, own their expertise, and lead with confidence - without burning out or compromising what matters most.

I'm an ICF Certified (ACC) Coach with master’s degrees in Public Administration and Public Health from Columbia University.

Originally from the U.S., I now live in Utrecht, NL with my husband, two kids, and our dog.

I’m passionate about doing work that feels good and helping others do the same.
